Hosts ︎ 2008-2018

In the context of parasitism, we speak of hosts whenever there is a relationship of dependence of a biological system (a living being or a virus) on another that it inhabits, either continuously or temporarily. The species that carries out the process is called parasite or host and the parasitized species is called host.
Parasitism can occur throughout all phases of an organism's life or only during specific periods of its life. Once the process is of appreciable advantage to the parasite species, it is established by natural selection and is usually an irreversible process that leads over generations to profound physiological and morphological transformations of that species.

Hosts is mainly a photographic project in which I try to reflect this way I have of relating to people in which from very early on the foundations of an emotional and/or physical dependence are laid.

All good though.
